Big Brother Eli

Eli, This is our last weekend with just you as our boy! We are so excited to have a few more days with just you and we relish the 2.5 years we've had you all to ourselves. One of the the many reasons we are excited about your brothers is because you are so excited. Over the past 9+ months, you have been so sweet to momma and the babies in her belly. You hug and kiss my belly and say "hey brothers!" all the time! I know that your brothers are already so lucky to have such a rock star of a big brother! My prayer is that you always look out for and love them, and that the three of you are the best of friends! Lately, you are growing up so fast. You mastered potty training like a pro- hardly any accidents! You are talking up a storm and say some of the funniest things... my favorite lately is when you come into our room in the morning you say "Daddy, the dark is off" in the sweetest voice and we know it's time to wake up! How can we resis that? You are constantly singing, playing drums or the guitar! As I type this we are outside and you are playing drums on the neighbor's big rock singing a melody of your favorite songs: "I like being a kid, My dog is the best dog in the WHOLEEEEEEEEE wide world, Jump up, listen up everybody!" You ALWAYS want to be helpful and even though sometimes it's not super helpful to have you help, I can't resist seeing you learn new things and get so proud when you do something for momma or daddy. Now that the weather is nice (unseasonably warm for NWA), you spend countless hours outside and we are lucky that our neighbor has a little girl (almost 5) that you LOVE playing with! We don't go inside as long as the weather cooperates! You really are such a joy and we are so humbled to be your parents. I am amazed every day that God created YOU from me and your dad...I know we are biased but you're pretty awesome. We can't wait to see what God has planned for your future!Thank you for being you and for being a GREAT big brother already... I cannot wait to see your face on Tuesday when you meet them! love, Mom

the Waiting Game...

So here we are... well into the 37th week and you boys are very content in momma's belly! I was told from the beginning of this pregnancy that making it to 36 weeks with twins would be awesome and they probably would induce by 38 weeks. So we are right smack dab in the middle of that! I have had some contractions but nothing consistent. Your daddy is on EDGE all the time, constantly asking me "are you ok?", "how are you feeling?", etc. etc. Everyone is very anxious/excited about your arrivals! Daddy's church is excited to meet you and so is all of your family. But I think Eli, you are most excited. You talk about your babies/brothers all the time and lately you have been known to sing them songs! It makes me very excited to see how you will be once Leo and Liam are here with us. So right now, we are just waiting for God's timing...knowing that one way or the other, you will be with us very soon. We cannot wait to see your sweet faces and get to know everything about you both!

love, Mom

Here we go!!!!

To my boys:

This is my first blog post ever. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to document our lives through this platform so that I can keep track of all of the daily/weekly/monthly things that happen and we forget about in the craziness of life. Eli, I'm sorry that momma didn't start this sooner with you...but we'll try to play catch up before your brothers arrive! Leo and Liam, I hope that this will be a gift to you all too- to see what life was like for our family even before you were born.

Eli- you are about 31 months old. You are such a JOY to have! You are truly a blessing to me and your daddy...you make us laugh about a million times a day with the things you do and say. Currently, you have tackled a major hurdle- potty training! We have been pee-pee trained since the middle of January but you have been so afraid to poop on the potty. Well, with a LOT of bribing, you have decided within the last week that maybe it isn't so scary! You were able to get a choo-choo and track set. You are obsessed with it! You go to MDO on Tuesday and Wednesday's at Southside Church of Christ Sonshine School. You love that too! You are excited about being a big brother and ask me all the time "Babies come yet, momma?" You love anything related to music and have since you started walking and able to pick up a guitar. Everything is a drum or guitar and you love to dance and sing. You are such a great kid and amaze us every day!

Leo and Liam- We are count down for your arrival. I was 35 weeks on Saturday so almost to the 36 week point that we've been striving for the whole pregnancy. You both are growing big and doing well...you are very active and keep me alert all day and night! We cannot wait to meet you and see how you both look and discover what your personalities are. Your brother is excited too and can't wait to sing you songs. I hope you always know that you were loved before you were born and prayed for from the the day we knew we were having you!
